Your support matters

Please consider becoming a member of our pack of 469 active DOGPAW donors as of October 31, 2023

Like most non-profit, volunteer organizations, DOGPAW’s survival depends on the generosity of the community, park users, philanthropists, and business sponsors.

Because we recognize that every penny donated is precious, we take extreme care with our expenditures. Still, the costs are high: just the cost of poop bags can run over $10,000 a year! With the help of volunteers, we have been able to eliminate some of the bills from previous years, but we still need help. Please consider donating.

For $25 a year (we love recurring payments/debits, monthly or yearly) you can receive a special DOGPAW dog tag and a static-cling window sticker. You can also receive our newsletter to find out about upcoming events and news from the parks. Just hit the donate button below to be taken to a secure site. Please rest assured DOGPAW does not keep your financial details and will never share your information with third parties.

Ike Park Fencing Campaign

Each year DOGPAW must maintain the 3,250 feet of aging, bent and rusty wire fencing at Ike which adds up to approximately $10,000 each year. Unlike the other parks which are owned by the county, Ike is owned by the BPA. This year, we discovered many of the large wooden anchor posts have rotted below ground level and must be replaced. Husky Fencing neighbors the park and offered an amazing quote for replacing the current fencing with posts, sturdy gates and chain link fencing. We obtained other quotes, including the City of Vancouver, and found Husky Fencing’s quote to be far superior. We have determined the total project cost to be $43,000. We believe the fencing will last decades with the savings over that time to be up to $200,000.

We received a grant from the Parks Foundation of Clark County (parksforclark.org) for $3,000 and we are looking for other grants.

We are asking for your help to reach our goal of $43,000. If we exceed our goal, we will be able to fund other projects at the other parks, such as benches at Dakota, gravel at Kane and universal access at Lucky.

DOGPAW urgently needs your help to replace the failing barrier with a sturdier, stronger version that will last for years, saving the organization as much as $200,000 over the life of the fence! Please donate if you can.
